What do your gifts do?
$10 — Buys nearly 50 pounds of food to feed families through our Food Pantry Program. Our bulk-buying power and access to national food bank services allows us to be much more efficient with your donation than donating food alone. Setting up your gift as a repeating monthly gift allows us to plan our purchasing and take advantage of special discounts.
$35 — buys one week worth of breakfast and lunch for a low-income child in Monroe County through our Summer Meals Program
$50 — buys diapers, wipes, and diaper rash cream for one family through our Diaper Pantry Program
$100 — Pays about 8 days worth of the heat and electricity that it takes to store and distribute the food and clothing we give away to residents across southern Monroe County
$300 — buys five Christmas toys for one local child in need through our Holiday Toy Assistance Program
$750 — buys a one-month supply menstrual hygiene bag (pads, tampons, & liners) for all of our clients for one month through our Menstrual Hygiene Pantry Program
Food Donations:
Shelf stable / non-perishable food can be dropped off ANYTIME!
Food can be left in the green bin outside the food pantry.
Bins are emptied by our volunteers every weekday.
The best foods to donate are canned and boxed foods with future expiration dates. Fresh fruits and vegetables are particularly welcome too.
Please bring fresh produce, eggs, and other perishables during office hours (Monday, Tuesday, or Friday from 8am-11am) so a volunteer can make sure the items are stored appropriately.

We also update our current monthly needs on our Facebook page on the 1st of each month and in our email newsletter which is sent out on the 15th of each month (sign up at the bottom of the page!)
Clothing Donations:
Clothing items can be dropped off ANYTIME!
Clothing can be left in the metal bins outside the clothing closet.
We prefer items be brought in normal size garbage bags or tubs. Large contractor bags and oversized tubs are too heavy for our senior volunteers.
Bins are emptied by our volunteers every weekday.
We ALWAYS need good used or new clothing. All ages and all seasons are needed. We have a special need for new underwear, socks, sneakers, and toiletries.
Please do not give us dirty, smoky, or wet clothing. We do not have any washing or drying facilities. We are also cannot accept clothing that has been stored with mothballs.
We update our current monthly needs on our Facebook page on the 1st of each month and in our email newsletter which is sent out on the 15th of each month (sign up at the bottom of the page!)
