Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Community Service Center – Phone: (570) 992 3136
In the interest of safety for PVEN clients, volunteers, and staff, we will be temporarily switching food distribution to an all drive-thru model for at least the month of February, possibly the entire month of March.
The reason behind this change is because the plowing / moving of large amounts of snow combined with continued freezing temperatures have left us with fewer parking spaces for clients and volunteers. This creates an obstacle to walk-through service provision, which requires more parking than we currently have available. As more snow falls, the lack of parking could become even worse, so we are being proactive in an effort to keep everyone safe and all clients fed.
Beginning on February 3, 2026, all food distribution will be drive thru only. There will be no “extra carts” outside either the food pantry or diaper pantry during this time in order to make turn-around time on PVEN premises as efficient as possible for each client. We understand that not everyone will like this temporary arrangement, but please keep in mind that we do intend to return to our standard model of service provision as soon as weather allows. We ask that you bear with us to continue to offer the very best we have to each other and to the people we serve.
Thank you for being part of our PVEN family.
– Colleen & Kat

Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network’s mission is to provide low income families and families in crisis the essentials to maintain a dignified standard of living while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency.
The PVEN Community Service Center on Route 209 just outside Brodheadsville houses its Food Pantry and Clothing Closet, which provide free groceries, clothing, and social service referrals to residents of Chestnuthill, Eldred, Hamilton, Jackson, Ross and Polk townships in Monroe County, PA. As part of its mission to encourage independence and self-sufficiency, PVEN’s facility also provides operating space for other non-profit aid agencies to deliver services to the residents of the West End.
