PVEN Garden

imagejpeg_0PVEN has received fresh produce from many local farmers and gardening projects through the years, including Goulds, Heckman’s, and Josie Porter Farms.

This year PVEN is developing its own garden on approximately 3/4 of an acre lent to us by a local farmer on Twin Pines road.  Volunteers helped break ground and till the soil, raise fencing, and plant vegetables donated by several of the same farms that have been providing fresh produce over the years!

With guidance from local gardeners, we’re learning the ropes and are starting to see the fruits of our labor.  Tomatoes and peppers and squash and cabbage are starting to mature, and we’re able to provide even more fresh produce for the families we support.
